Medical Supply Organization (MSO)

The Medical Supply Organization procures and distributes subsidized medicines into and within Libya, they supply pharmaceutical and medical equipment to the public and private sectors to cover all of Libya's health care hospitals, nursing homes, clinical laboratories, medical and dental clinics. 

The Medical Supply Organization (MSO) has many responsibilities which includes approval of drugs from the Ministry of Health (MOH) to direct clinical trials, provide standards for drugs, quality check of imported drugs in the country, coordinate with the (MOH) for the activities by providing expert advice, and training with keeping a view in mind to bring about the uniformity in the implementation of the drugs and cosmetics act.

Moreover the (MSO) along with (MOH), is together responsible for permit of licenses of certain specialized type of critical Drugs.
